Training and Installation:
- SOLO
As of 1/12/09 SpEd staff has been trained on Solo. The Solo experts at this time are Lesa Cearley and Viki Johnson. Solo software is very intuitive and not difficult. Viki and Lisa are continuing to offer monthly trainings on Solo (Draft Builder, Write Outloud, Read Outloud, Co-Writer), Clicker5, and Classroom Suite 4 (used to be IntelliTools). The disks on campuses are no longer current. RRISD has unlimited licenses (SOLO License.pdf). Steve Burpee has current program and will push this program out to designated OU's. The ITS will complete a google doc with the OU's. Students and teachers have take home rights to the software. Steve Burpee will put a file on \\grab\stuff with the "take home files" that can be burned to CD. Viki Johnson will also ask Larry Barnett to burn some which she or Lesa Cearley will have available. Depending on when the software is pushed out, ITS may have to load on a very few select computers. Viki has the update for the current software. Most students who "must" have the software at this time have the older version and are managing.

- Smart
Smartboard software: all ITS (nonPromethean campus) are expected to train staff on Smartboard and Notebook software.
Smartboard workshops may be offered at the campus and/or district level beginning in March.

NOTE: SpEd ITS are expected to assist other campuses with installations and training as needed. Alford will organize a diagram of who helps at which campuses.
